Here’s an adult, breeding male Mallard (Anas platyrhynchos) that I saw waddling down the river trail, accompanied by an adult female. The two ducks seemed like they were bonded to each other as they synchronized their walks. They stuck around for a while before jumping into the river to look for some food.
